Everything here is about the containers— choosing them, draining them and watering them well. We don't sell seeds, live plants, soil, fertilizer or pesticides, so pair these planters with your own potting mix and plants from a local nursery.

Tight balcony? Reach for self-watering planters and vertical wall pockets. A sunny yard? A raised bed or grow bags give roots room to run. Start with the space you have, then pick the container that fits it.

Roots hate sitting in water. Lay a mesh disc over each drainage hole so soil stays put while water escapes, and stand pots on a saucer indoors. Fabric grow bags drain through the whole surface, so they rarely waterlog.

A reservoir or a bottle-top drip spike delivers a slow, steady drink — far kinder than a daily flood. Fill the reservoir, not the soil surface, and let the wick do the work while you are away. Use clean water only.
